All of our instructors are registered and accredited with Swimming South Africa (SSA) and Central Gauteng Aquatics (CGA).
Andrea is also associated with the American Swim Coaches Association.

ANDREA LANDAU

Andrea Landau founded Aquatribe Swimming in 2009.

Andrea was a competitive swimmer for over a decade and the highlights of her career were finishing 4th and 5th in the 50m Freestyle and Breaststroke respectively at the 2004 South African Olympic trial as well as representing South Africa at the World Cup Championships in 2003.
 

Andrea's Recent Achievements

  • 2003 Finalist at the F.I.N.A Swimming World Cup

  • 2004 Placed 4th SA National Olympic Trials

  • 2012 South African Record for 50m Freestyle
    (Masters Age Group 30-34)

  • 2014 South African Record for 50m Breaststroke 
    (Masters Age 30-34)

  • 2016 Triathlon Central Gauteng Champs – 2nd (Age Group 30-34)

  • 2017 Triathlon South African Champs - 5th (Age Group 30-34)
     

Andrea is a qualified swimming coach with Swimming South Africa
and has vast knowledge of ultimate conditioning & strength training.

"I started my swimming career at the age of 9 when I first represented my province and have enjoyed a wonderful and 
fulfilling 22 years as a competitive swimmer. It made sense to make a career of what I loved so I studied sports psychology for
3 years. I opened Aquatribe Swimming in 2009, partnering with Virgin Active, where I’m able to coach a broad spectrum of swimmers – from teaching adults to elite athletes, training for events all over the world in their fantastic facilities. "
